Full-Stack Web Developer

Job Title: Web Developer
Location: Istanbul / Turkey
Reporting Line: Technical line to CEO
Job Status: Fixed term – 1 year (extendable)
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Salary: Salary defined by the candidate's qualifications and the OCF's salary scale in Turkish Lira.
Orphans Care Federation is a charitable organization supporting the field of humanitarian philanthropy and a tool to link organizations to each other, we seek to help humanitarian organizations build their capacity to provide a better service and care for orphans. OCF is a non-governmental humanitarian organization officially registered in Turkey.

Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices,
Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices,
Creating and maintaining software documentation,
Supervising the graphic design of the organization's websites and other platforms, and ensuring that they are updated periodically and free of problems,
Designing and writing content for the organization's websites and other platforms,
Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups,
Implementing contingency plans in case the website goes down,
Working directly with project managers, designers, and senior management,
Integrating data from various back-end services and databases,
Determinant the technical needs and requirements necessary for the successful implementation of all the tasks assigned to him/her,
Keeping pace with all that is new in the world of technology and applying what it deems appropriate,
Diagnosing and discovering complex technical problems and identifying their causes in order to avoid their occurrence in the future,
Adherence to project delivery deadlines,
Staying in constant communication with the rest of the team,
Working on more than one project at the same time, which requires time management.

Aranan Nitelikler

• Proven work experience of not less than three years in Web development or similar role.
• A degree in Computer science major or any related field such as Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Programming, etc.
• Excellent programming skills in HTML / CSS, PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript and Ruby on Rails, etc.
• Good knowledge of how web applications work and databases.
• Good experience in network diagnostics and network analysis tools.
• Proven work experience in SEO.
• English + Turkish proficiency required.
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication skills, cooperation with staff, and withstand the pressures of work.
• The ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with respect for diversity.
• An analytical mind with strategic ability.
• The ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to details and high level of organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
